Safieddine
According to CNN, citing a Lebanese security source on October 5th, Hezbollah has lost contact with senior leader Hashem Safieddine. Safieddine is considered a possible successor to the late Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
CNN reported that the source mentioned that Hezbollah has not received any information about Safieddine since Israel launched airstrikes on southern Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, on October 4th.
As of the time of publication, Hezbollah has not responded to the reports.
Earlier on October 5th, Saudi media outlet Al-Hadath reported that senior Hezbollah leader Hashem Safieddine and his entourage were killed in an Israeli airstrike on southern Beirut.
