According to multiple media reports, a passenger plane suddenly caught fire while landing at Las Vegas International Airport in the U.S. Witnesses captured footage showing flames shooting from the middle-rear section of the aircraft, creating a dramatic scene.
The New York Post reported that the incident occurred at 3:37 p.m. local time on the 5th. Frontier Airlines Flight 1326, which departed from San Diego, arrived at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport half an hour later than its scheduled time.
After the plane landed in Las Vegas, flames erupted from the middle-rear section of the aircraft. Emergency responders were dispatched immediately to the scene, quickly controlling the fire to prevent it from spreading. The flames appeared to have originated near the plane’s landing gear.
Videos and photos posted by witnesses on the X platform showed all passengers safely evacuating the plane without the need for escape slides.
Frontier Airlines confirmed that there were 190 passengers and seven crew members on board at the time of the incident. The crew declared an emergency after detecting smoke upon landing, but fortunately, no one was injured. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
