US Military Deploys B-2 Spirit Stealth Strategic Bomber
According to CNN, citing three U.S. defense officials, the United States launched a new round of strikes against Yemen’s Houthi forces on Wednesday (16th) night, targeting their weapon storage facilities, including underground sites. One of the officials disclosed that the strikes were carried out by a U.S. B-2 “Spirit” stealth strategic bomber. Both U.S. Secretary of Defense Austin and U.S. Central Command confirmed the operation.
CNN reported that this is the first time since the U.S. began related operations that the military has deployed this type of stealth strategic bomber to attack Yemen’s Houthi forces.
